For a tourniquet to be a true ‘single-use’ device, it should be automatically destroyed during the course of its regular operation.

InterVene has produced such a device. By ultrasonically welding the strap on the tourniquet our design team has created a tourniquet  that destroys itself as it is released, ensuring that it cannot be reused.
